This new interpretation of Perfect Oud takes up the theme of its predecessor: the fascination and memory of an extraordinary wood slowly burning on embers. But here, Alberto Morillas delves into the heart of the wood, as if zooming in on the material to explore its richness, power, and magic. Alaskan cedar, with its mineral and densely leathery inflections, remains the main protagonist, while revealing new vivacity with cardamom and an almost liqueurlike depth with rum. The contrast between these two extremes is heightened, and the floral and amber note that rounds out the composition expresses itself with more intensity. The memory of this wood then returns with greater strength and mystery.
