First English edition of Streatfeild s second novel, subsequently marketed as part of the Shoes series, issued the year after Ballet Shoes and preceding the American edition. Tennis Shoes follows the lives of the four Heath children as they explore competitive tennis, encouraged by their family s tennis legacy and their grandfather s and father s involvement in the sport. With illustrations by D.L. Mays. Now protected in a clear mylar wrapper.
