Tall 4to, approximately 325 x 215 mm, 12½ x 8½ inches, title with woodcut device, 2 folding plates, approximately 150 woodcut illustrations in the text, various sizes, 5 full page, plus several pages with printed circles with text inside (see image), pictorial initials and a few headpieces, pages: [2], 1-420, [64] - last page blank, full contemporary vellum, gilt lettered label to spine, all edges red. Vellum rubbed and scuffed, a few small holes and 1 tiny crack to spine, slight wear to head and tail of spine, corners bumped, 1 folding plate lightly age-browned, occasional pale age-browning and light foxing, old ink note in bottom margin of title page and page 37, another in fore-edge margin of page 408, shallow creasing to first few pages, small patch of worming to first and last pastedowns, otherwise a very good copy. Fabretti wrote extensively on Roman antiquarian subjects, including works on acqueducts, Trajan's column, and epigraphy.
