Courtney and Kelsey are college professors at a state school in the greater Cincinnati area. They have been friends since childhood and were even in the same sorority during college. They make up the foundation of the special ensemble of women that share the same interests. Morgan and Fiona are students at the college where Kelsey and Courtney teach. The younger girls are charter members of the exclusive quartet.The four women are linked together in other ways beside the college. Morgan lives with Courtney her professor and they share an open relationship. Fiona and Courtney have been lovers since they were in their teens, which continued even after Courtney got married.
