Growing up, Snow would tell stories to her sisters. She would read books to her grandma, who suggested Snow should write books. Soon, Snow began carrying a notebook and folder around with a pencil. She wrote so many stories wherever she went. The inspiration for A Very Long Journey came from all those trips to the mountain. With her family, Snow did a lot of fun things in the mountains. Her parents love skiing.
