Vintage Late 1940S/Early 1950S Black Faille Dress. Full Skirt, Dolman Sleeve, Dropped Waist Yoke, Great Buttons

I love this dress! It's made of a very mini/tight black faille from the late 1940s/early 1950s. Mandarin/band collar, dolman sleeves with a very interesting flange/French seam at the shoulder. Front panels of the skirt have the same French seam type yoke detail (drop waist) at the hip like it does at the shoulder. Gorgeous full skirt! 3/4 sleeves, great vintage buttons & thin shoulder pads. Crochet belt loops at side seams but the original belt is no longer with the dress. Unlined. It's a beautiful Hollywood glam dress worth seeing in person. Label: The Misses Shop Aldens Condition is great. Signs of general wear & age. There is a horizontal line across the top of the shoulder blade where the fabric is shiny, see pic, as well as a few spots along seams & seam allowance, probably from being stored & from pressing over the years. There is wear to the top buttonhole, a light mark on the left sleeve, see pics. There are scars from where it looks like the buttons use to be & were moved, see pic. Dry cleaned & ready to wear. Unfortunately, the original belt is no longer with the dress. The photos were taken with a satin ribbon on the dressform & with a velvet belt on the model. Neither included with the dress but the velvet belt is available in a separate listing.
