True vintage dated 1960s stunning dress by Malcolm Starr for Saks Fifth Avenue (Saks label is located on the bottom of the underskirt). I'm quite amazed with how beautifully preserved this dress is. Colours are just as vivid & saturated as in the photos. Beautiful palette with dominant shades of orange, pink & purple. There is no composition label but outer material looks like cotton & synthetic blend, fabric is of gorgeous quality, a bit like smooth canvas, with proper weight to it. Dress is fully lined with ivory lining & features sewn in underskirt with stiff hem to add volume to the skirt. Colourful waist belts are not detachable, they are sewn in around the waist. There was tiny damage on one of them but it was fixed by our lovely seamstress. Dress also has real pockets! Back zip closure perfectly functioning. This is a truly well made item, old school tailoring, incredible attention to detail. It weights a bit! Gorgeous rare find, perfectly wearable & ready to serve for many more decades. There is no care label but previous owner had it dry cleaned successfully. Dress is clean, ready to wear, no flaws found, micro imperfections only. Model is size UK 8/ EU 36/ S & 5'7.
