Antique Farm Scale Arm Rustic Wood Beam, Iron Hooks, Repurposed Decor

This very old wooden bar with hooks was found hanging from the rafters in part of a shed on an old farm. I think the shed had once been used as a butcher shed or deer dressing space, & this might have been used as a primitive scale arm. I suspect that hanging from the loops were chains for whatever was hanging. This scale arm is fantastic old wood, showing wear & patina, & the wrought iron ring & hooks are all hand made & hand fastened. It's an amazing piece, probably from the 1800s, & possibly from the 1700s judging from the age of the wrought iron & the wood, & it remains in functional condition. Very unusual is the wrought iron bar that wraps around both ends of the wood in an elongated U shape. This would have given the bar much more weight bearing to hang heavy things (perhaps like a deer). Very few traces of white or beige paint remain. Imagine this used as a lighting fixture over your rectangular dining room table, or over your pool table, or used as a pot rack. The wood bar measures 35 3/8" long, & in the middle it's about 5 1/2" high & about 3" thick. The hand hammered hooks at each end hang down about 4" from the wood bar.
