Product Description
The Cattle-Baron's Daughter is a story of romance and the fight for the cattle-ranges of the West. It is the early-1870s, and homesteaders are beginning to appear, spelling doom for the wide-open, unfenced, free-water, thousands of acres of pastures. Larry Grant is a cattle rancher, struggling against the tide of interlopers. Hetty Torrance is the daughter of a very rich cattle-baron. Hetty's station in life is far about Larry's, but they have been pals since childhood. Hetty's aspiration had been to be a professional singer, but after a few years in New York City, having little success, abandoned the idea and went home to take her part in the land contest. Larry would like their relationship to be more than friends, but Hetty is leaning toward another, and Larry may be doomed, both financially and romantically.
